Windows 7 professional print spooler keeps stopping

I looked at the Date Modified of my spoolsv. I cam into work this morning and am unable to print. It stops about 30 seconds after it starts or whenever I go look at the printers. Please help! Seems there are several ways to get this problem If you're issue is not IE9 related, it's maybe drivers or OS badness, then A sure fire way to get back to the pristine setup of the printers on the system without re-installing is to grab another machine with a fresh install of windows of the appropriate version and architecture x64 or x86 you could even make a VM, and use that fresh install as a source to replace the bad bits of the machine you are struggling with 1 On the bad machine run services.

Just in case anyone else has this installed, it has a glitch that disables the print spooler even when it isn't running.

I was logged in with administrative privileges. My spooler was already stopped and all I did was open the command prompt and ran your delete command and voila!

Hi there, I have the same problem as mentioned above, and have tried all the methods suggested, yet still not fixed. The printer was working perfectly and suddenly just stopped working. Nothing works. The print job will be submitted to the queue and disappeared before it has been printed. Please help I dont know what else to do now, losing too much productive time here already!!!

Wndows 7 using Windows Vista Print Drivers because that is all the printer manufacturer offer for that model If you have recently found that the issue has just gone then perhaps a recent update such as the "printing rollup update for Windows 7 and Server R2" that I mention in my earlier post above might have sorted your problem.
