Satlink ws-6906 user manual

Thanks very much in anticipation! Oops - I can't see any way to add attachments! French Sky and smaltby, please see your PMs anyway, where you'll find my e-mail address. If you'd kindly send a mail to that address I'll reply with the aide-memoires.

Sorry to be awkward! I've just found this link to a French user guide for the WS Nevertheless, it's very polite - I lost count of how many 'S'il vous plait's it contains! Guys, I've updated my 'personal user guide'. They should be already in the meter but some of the frequencies changed recently and the details in the meter are probably wrong. Connect the meter to a working dish. Check that the satellite is the right one. Then find Freq on my meter it's , which is close enough!

F4 again to scan and pick up Sky News etc. Then find Freq on mine. Finally, find Freq on mine. F4 to get Channel 4. Press Exit until you get back to the TV screen. Using the up and down buttons you should be able to move between these selected channels and see and hear them on the screen.

To line up a dish you need to connect up to the dish, click the Menu button and then select 'Quick search' on the screen. Go down to 'Frequency' and enter Then enter for Symbol Rate. Go further down next screen and set Polarity to V. These are the settings for Sky News.

Some reports say, that it's supposedly caused such friction between husband and wife, as to result in divorce proceedings! Service, which is transmitted in DVB-S2 format. And this is where the problems start.

This meter is not DVB-S2 compliant. It is a DVB-S meter. It will not 'pick up' and display the VAST channels on its little screen Now if you have purchased this unit from a reputable seller in Australia, they will know this and will have pre programmed the Meter with the Al Jazeera frequencies. They will have also hopefully provided clear user instructions. But, as is always the case, the same unit can be purchased overseas through eBay, Wish, Ali Express, etc.

Adding to the dilemma, a lot of the Meters arrive with Battery Chargers with European or US plugs and an Instruction Manual written in "Chinglish" English written by Chinese people which is very difficult to understand and follow. To confuse things further, not all Meters have been programmed the same and that some units are 'knock-offs' But still work ok. If you're thinking about buying one of these Meters from overseas, or from anywhere actually, just bear in mind, that it will become obsolete in the not too distant future.

So, for those of you who have purchased overseas and are having difficulty using the darned thing, I hope this Guide will help you. Good luck! Al Jazeera TV will then appear on the little screen, in colour and with sound. It has a TV tuner built into the meter. I have numerous Satellite Finders. I guess I'm a bit of a SatFinder Junkie. One of them is a WS Meter and it's this one I'm going to use to outline the steps we need to take to get it going.

I was fully aware of the risks. From the start, I'm going to assume you have charged the Battery and know how to turn on the Meter. Step 1. Do not connect the Meter to the Dish at this time. Turn on the Meter. My comments are in White Text. They are taken from the Chinese Manual as an illustration of the screen that appears for each setting.

Using the Right Arrow, scroll through the list of satellites. They, along with a lot of other satellites, were listed in my Meter. Don't have Optus C1 preloaded on your Finder? See below for details:. Available satellites are listed in Yellow. This is where we will add the parameters for Al Jazeera, sourced from their website.
